Fay Gallery
Fay Gallery, born Guylaine Tremblay in 1971, resides in Terrebonne, Quebec. She chose her artist’s name to stand out from the famous Quebec actress of the same name and also in tribute to her mother who called her little Fée. Guylaine thus naturally became Fay, without losing her identity using the end of her last name. Artist since 2013, raised around art, Fay spent her youth imagining herself as one of the characters of the paintings owned by her artist father. It was after his opening that Fay decided to follow in his father’s footsteps. So, she started painting while perfecting herself in art in private for four years in order to offer the best of herself through her creations. She has thus moved from traditional works from the family collection to a successful artist. Since 2015 she has already accumulated more than a few exhibitions to her credit, both collective and solo and has participated in some impressive events.
Fay’s artistic approach is manifested in the essence of her creativity, at the heart of her emotional feeling and intuition. As her artistic evolution progressed, Fay took pleasure in painting abstract art. Her creations take her into the depths of a dialogue between the soul, the gesture of her brushes and the canvas. She enters into a kind of trance from which her body executes what her inspiration dictates, forgetting all reality around her. It is in the movement of her brushes and the overlay of products that she lets dry in order to return much later, when she will decide whether a more concrete element appears and accentuates its forms by other overlays. It often mixes its colors with other components such as gels and ink and is always evolving and discovering. She takes pleasure in discovering her paintings through the eyes of her audience, discovering visions that she herself now has. Fay is known for her use of gold, black and white tones.
