Eve Champagne
Communication lies at the heart of Ève Champagne’s artistic practice — both as a source of inspiration and a subject of exploration. Fascinated by the complexity of language and the misunderstandings it creates, she examines the space between what we say, what we mean, and what others perceive. Her work conveys this ambiguity through a rich interplay of color, texture, and material.

Words serve as a constant muse for Ève. Some soothe, others provoke or challenge, and all inspire imagery — flowers, birds, figures, or abstract forms. Sometimes they appear clearly in her compositions; other times they are merely suggested, yet they are always present.

Her creative process blends acrylic painting, collage, pastels, watercolor, colored pencils, graphite, charcoal, and even embroidery. She incorporates fragments of books, newspapers, sheet music, or her children’s old drawings, infusing each piece with emotion and personal meaning. She works on wood panels for their strength and calming texture, or on canvas when she wishes to include embroidery.

Each of Ève Champagne’s artworks becomes a visual conversation — a dialogue between words, emotion, and the viewer’s perception.
