Andrew Kiss
Born in Hungary in 1946, Andrew Kiss embarked on his artistic journey when his family immigrated to Canada in 1957. Today, he resides in Calgary, Alberta.
Andrew’s passion for the outdoors and his commitment to passing that love on to future generations are evident in his artwork. He considers himself extremely fortunate to thrive in the ever-evolving world of art. His vision is to use his art as a portal to transport viewers back to cherished memories of hikes, family camping trips, and special places. Each of his paintings acts as a window to our precious world, reminding us never to take it for granted.
Andrew’s dedication goes beyond his canvas, as he actively supports and donates to various causes, particularly those related to conservation, animals and children’s well-being.
The opportunity to make a living through his art while simultaneously promoting the message of conservation and helping important causes is what drives Andrew to pick up his paintbrush and create his next masterpiece.
Throughout his illustrious career, he has earned many awards for his outstanding contributions to the art world. His artwork has found a place in numerous corporate and private collections across the globe. A few of his accolades including being the 1993 Canada Summer Games Official Artist, winning best in Show at the Calgary Stampede multiple times, and in 2018 the Wild Babies Children’s Book which was illustrated by Andew was selected to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. With nearly six decades of artistic dedication, Andrew Kiss is celebrated as one of Canada’s most recognized and celebrated nature artists.
