Born in 1983 in Montreal, Carine Génadry now lives in Saint-Calixte in the Lanaudière region. Surrounded by nature, she draws her inspiration and her raw materials directly from it: Plants. Indeed, Carine uses the gel plate printing technique with a unique and personal approach; that of printing plants in acrylic and composing her paintings around the theme of connection to nature. It was after taking part in a monotype workshop in Trois-Rivières, during an arts education symposium, that she discovered a printing process with multiple possibilities, which would create her own style. Carine graduated in 2007 in arts education from Concordia University and has since accompanied many young people and adults with special needs. Her creativity has always served as her ally to better guide them in art or social integration. In addition, Carine completed a certificate in Permaculture in 2016, greatly influencing her personal and artistic life choices, by increasingly integrating permacultural principles and ethics based on systems observed in nature.
